Melbourne Rectangular Stadium

Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, commercially known as AAMI Park, is a 30,000 person capacity stadium that was built by Grocon Constructors to be used as a world class sporting venue.

Each aisle throughout the stadium required non-slip stair nosing and aisle identification numbers. The identification numbers needed to be clearly visible to patrons at all times, including night events where the lighting levels would be deliberately kept low.

Way Out were the successful tenderers to supply and install an aluminium stair nosing which contained a non-slip rubber insert with a luminous strip and identification number, all housed within the single profile. The project was delivered successfully on time which was crucial given that games were scheduled to be played only days after the stadium completion.
